Leadership Team

Thomas Foley, President and Chief Executive Officer

As president, Tom directs the company's operational and strategic planning efforts. With over 30 years in the vacuum system industry, he possesses a depth of knowledge in machine design, thin film processes, and thermal/cryogenic technology. Tom joined Dynavac in 1987 and has held the positions of Vice President of Sales & Marketing and General Manager. In 1999 he assumed the position of President and CEO. Tom's keen sense for business development, combined with his technical and leadership abilities, has enabled Dynavac to achieve substantial growth in the past several years.

Paul Cleary, Director of Finance and Administration

Paul is responsible for planning and directing the financial and administrative operations of Dynavac. He has more than 20 years of finance and operations experience effectively managing capital equipment manufacturing businesses. Previous executive level positions during his career include Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Group Controller.

Gary Ash, PhD, Director of Technology

Gary leads the development of Dynavac's products and processes. He is an industrial physicist and engineer with more than 40 years of experience in high vacuum systems and cryogenics. During his career, Gary has developed systems and processes for infrared optical systems, semiconductor production, and optical coating. He has published more than 20 papers and holds 12 U.S. patents in cryogenic, vacuum, and thin film technologies.

Leo Monteiro, Manager of Engineering

Leo directs all aspects of the company’s mechanical, electrical and control system activity. Leo has been with Dynavac since 2007 with responsibilities including make-buy analyses, process definition/methodology, sequence of events (SOE), standard operating procedures (SOP), qualifying new manufacturing equipment and technical capacity additions. Leo has 15 years of experience in manufacturing, integration and test management of automated manufacturing systems.

Elizabeth Claflin, Sales & Marketing Manager

Liz is responsible for directing the sales and marketing initiatives of the company. She has been with Dynavac since 1989 and has held roles in sales, contract administration, and customer service. Liz’s product knowledge along with her dedication to customer satisfaction provides an excellent foundation in which to represent Dynavac and its products.

Thomas Griffin, Senior Project Manager

Tom is a senior member of Dynavac's project management organization. His group monitors project performance and provides an open line of communication to our customers. With over 40 years of global business management experience, Tom possesses strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, all of which have enabled his team to provide a high level of project control and customer visibility.

William Parsley, Senior Project Manager

Bill is a senior member of Dynavac's project management organization. As an accomplished mechanical engineer, he has managed several large-scale projects from first proposal straight through to commissioning. During his 18-year tenure at Dynavac he has also led the development of many of Dynavac's products and processes for space simulation and thin film deposition.
